Jenny Rissveds won the 2024 XCO World Cup Cross Country season open on the Ibis Exie, a bike we quite literally made in our own backyard here in Northern California! In the past two seasons, the Exie has won 1 XCO, 2 XCC races, and been on the podium at races around the world.
We build each Exie USA in our Northern California factory. This gives us the utmost control, which enable us to hit remarkable frame strength, stiffness, and weight targets for this frame. Learn more about the process.
Whether you’re racing short track or on a multi day epic, the Exie’s seat tube angles allows you to harness your strongest muscles, while reducing any potential knee or wrist strain. We’ve also steepened the seat tube angles as the frames get larger, to allow riders with different inseams to achieve the same riding positions.
Don’t squander a single watt. Our dw-link suspension platform offers incredible climbing efficiency and traction along with plush, downhill-crushing goodness.
We use bushings where it makes sense and bearings where it doesn’t. The IGUS bushings in our lower link are lighter, stiffer, and virtually maintenance free. We’ve also added features like a threaded bottom bracket to help make any future maintenance easy.
Internal cable routing doesn’t have to be a pain. We’ve added internal tubes to our tubes, no picksets, flashlights, or swear words required.
You can run overbuilt, chunky tires; you can run light, big volume fast tires, but whatever you run, you’re not limited by width.
The Exie USA has clearance for two water bottles inside the front triangle on every size frame.
Drop the hammer, not your chain.
If it’s our fault, we’ll fix it. Simple as that.

Exie USA Specific FAQs
We offer two versions of the Exie. The Exie USA is produced in our solar powered facility in Pajaro, California. The Exie is manufactured overseas.
All our manuals are available here. You can also find the Quick Setup guide for the Exie USA in the 'Setup' tab on the right.
We recommend a 120mm travel fork on the Exie USA. A 100mm fork will take the Exie USA from downcountry to World Cup XC. We recommend those interested in overforking the Exie USA to take a closer look at the Ripley.
The Exie USA is optimized around a 44mm fork offset. The 51mm offset fork shortens the trail (the distance between the contact patch and the steering axis), which can cause the front end to feel less stable.
No, the Exie USA is not compatible with a coil shock.
The Exie USA can accommodate a 2.4” rear tire.
The max chainring for an Exie is 36t.
No. The hydraulic hose's diameter is too large for the frame's internal cable tunnels. However, the Reverb AXS is compatible!
The Exie USA uses a Universal Derailleur Hanger (UDH) and axle which was developed by SRAM. We have UDH parts available on our webstore. You can also source these parts through any quality retailer. The hanger part number is AC-DRHG-MTB-A1. The SRAM Maxle Stealth Rear Through Axle (12x148 174mm shaft length, 180mm overall length) is 710845856129.
The Exie USA can fit 2x 26 oz Purist bottles on M-XL frames when the Arundel side loader cage is used. The Exie USA can fit 1x 26 oz Purist bottles and 1x 22 oz Purist bottles on the size small.
Yes, the max size oval chainring we recommend is a 34T. Not all oval chainrings are the same, so we recommend double checking clearance before riding.
Weight for complete Exie USA starts at 22.2 lbs.
No, there is no weight limit for the Exie frame. The max pressure for the stock Fox DPS shock is 300 PSI.
You can find torque specs for the Exie USA in the tab above, or by checking our manual here.
The Exie USA has an integrated top mount chain guide that attaches to our lower link. If you’d like to run an after market guide, you can use a BB to ISCG-5 spacer instead of a regular BB spacer.
We have touch up paint available for most colors, through Rotaris, or My Perfect Color (for colors/models before 2024). Some automotive retailers have the ability to custom match paint.
