2016 Editor’s Choice - Ripley LS

"The LS stands for long and slack and this newer, more badass version of the Ibis Ripley is one of the most exciting 29ers we’ve tried. With a 150mm-travel fork, refined rear suspension, and angles closer to those of an enduro bike than a typical 29er, this mother shreds hard. The Ripley ripped around corners easier and with more precision than expected for a 29er with a 67.5-degree head angle and floated over ruts, water bars, and roots as if it had more travel. The sharp-pedaling Dave Weagle designed DW-Link suspension made climbing feel almost easy and the super-wide Ibis rims (41mm internal width) ballooned out the Schwalbe 2.25-inch Nobby Nic tires for extra traction."
