The Ibis Migration Mendocino is all about the riding. And the food. And the camaraderie.
Waiting list is full too, see you in 2020!
You'll experience glorious loamy singletrack riding deep in the redwood forest of Mendocino.
Here's what you'll get:
Come ride and hang out with Ibis owners, friends and family in towering coastal redwoods.
The whole idea of an Ibis Migration is to ride and have fun.
The Ibis Migration Mendocino takes place at the Mendocino Woodlands, a rustic nearly 100 year old camp deep in the majestic old-growth redwood forest just a touch outside of Mendocino California.
Thursday August 15th to Sunday August 18th, 2018. We have the camp rented on Thursday, so you are encouraged to show up Thursday night. Food and activities start first thing Friday morning. This year we have the camp until dark on Sunday, so we'll be able to ride as much as we want. Breakfast and lunch are included Sunday.
Because the riding is killer, the setting is beautiful, your cell phone won't work, there's no internet, almost no electricity, and this is the birthplace of Ibis. Back in 1981, Ibis was founded by Scot Nicol right next to the Mendocino Woodlands (there was no internet then either but he did have electricity most of the time).
Three days of glorious loamy singletrack riding deep in the redwood forest of Mendocino.
We've secured the Ibis HQ based demo fleet for rentals for the Migration. Give us your info, show up, we'll have a bike for you. Rental fee including fit, transportation and the bike will $150 and we are donating all the proceeds to the Mendocino Coast Cyclists (the local heroes/trailbuilders). Reserve on the Eventbrite page.
The Ibis West Coast demo fleet will be in attendance. It's free and first come first served.
This year, we have a few industry partners supporting us.
Will provide each of us with a beautiful custom printed 16 oz Insulated Tumbler, with a lid. Keeps your coffee hot and your beer cold. The tumbler will feature some new Chris McNally art.
We'd like to welcome Seismic Brewery out of Santa Rosa back to their second Migration!
And our great friends at New Belgium Brewery who we have been friends with since the early 90s are back again.
New for 2019 we are happy to welcome Magnolia Brewing out of San Francisco.
Sufferfest Beer Company celebrates active, healthy, and passionate humans with premium quality beer, which sounds right up our alley.
New for 2019 are our Truckee friends from FiftyFifty Brewing. Looking forward to adding their mountain flava to the Migration.
Happy to have GT's Kombucha on board too!
Wine will be provided by Arnot Roberts an award winning winery duo, both of whom shred and ride Ibis.
Cocktail hour kindly supported by High West Distillery.
Cabins at the Woodlands are simple, rustic and beautiful, with little balconies and views of the forest below you. The cabins have fireplaces too. Note that you need to bring your own bedding.
A short walk from each cabin is a shower and toilet. You can look at the camp map here.
While the rustic cabins are more cozy than tent camping with their spring cots and foam vinyl mattress pads, we realize there might be a few of you interested in spending a bit more for a little more comfort. Enter, glamping.
We are tailoring just a few of the Woodlands cabins with premium inflatable Queen size airbeds (sits 19” high), made up with cozy sheets, pillows and bedding. These cabins will have a few extra comforts including curtains, rug, night stand, lantern and camp chairs. Two packages are available, couples or family.
Included in the price of admission are riding and skills clinics all weekend long.
Back by popular demand we have Brian Astell from Trail Works. Brian an amazing skills and fitness coach who will be teaching us how to be better riders during the weekend.
Your women's coach will be Asa Shoemaker, TBF Mountain Bike Skills Coach. Asa will guide beginner, intermediate and advanced clinics during the weekend:
