Despite the fact that Ibis is a tiny company, we've managed to attract some very huge talent on the sponsorship side. Our first-and for a long time only-sponsored rider is Brian Lopes. He’s been racing for over 30 years. He’s a new inductee in both the Mountain Bike and the BMX Halls of Fame. He’s also a many time World, World Cup and National Champion (more titles than you have toes and fingers).
What’s a guy like Brian doing riding for Ibis? Among other things, winning.
Brian is still competing all over the world, and even in some parts of Canada. In August 2010, he won his FIFTH CONSECUTIVE AirDH downhill at Crankworx on the world famous A-Line downhill. He was racing against the best guys in the world.
Brian also helps out with product development. He's been a tremendous asset to the development of our new bikes and refinement of the existing bikes in our lineup.
Brian's website is www.brianlopes.com.

For 2012, Brian will be sponsored by X Fusion suspension, our neighbors in Santa Cruz. Check out this short video about Brian and X Fusion, featuring some of the riding around Santa Cruz.
North Shore Mountain Biking (NSMB) just put up a nice profile on Brian. Check it out here.
Brian decided to check out the US Cup Triple Crown Super D National (that's a mouthful!) in Fontana California on March 26th and 27th, 2011.
Brian won in the Pro Super D on his Mojo HD.

We have a couple of videos for your viewing pleasure. Both are helmet cam shots of Brian on the A-Line. The first one is shot from Brian's helmet cam, there's another rider ahead of him for about half the run. The second one shows Brian, filmed by Cedric Gracia.
Here's the first one, shot in August of 2010
And here he is a couple years before the first one. Ex Volvo Cannondale Teammate Cedric Gracia filmed this from his helmet. Click on the full screen mode down there by the volume. Prepare to be humbled.
